EVA Interlayer Film and PVB Interlayer Film are both used to make laminated glass.
PVB Interlayer Films have been used to make laminated glass for about 40 years.
And EVA Interlayer Films have been used to make laminated glass for about 15 years.
Laminated glass is popular used as safety glass to protect people and property.
Polyvinyl butyral (or PVB) is a resin usually used for applications that require strong binding, optical clarity, adhesion to many surfaces, toughnessand flexibility. It is prepared from polyvinyl alcohol by reaction with butyraldehyde. The major application is laminated safety glass for automobilewindshields. However, PVB Interlayer Film is very sensitive to moisture, which makes it difficult to store and process. It requires high standard of processing condition to care about humidity.

Ethylene vinyl acetate (also known as EVA) is the copolymer of ethylene and vinyl acetate. The weight percent vinyl acetate usually varies from 10 to 40%, with the remainder being ethylene.
It is a polymer that approaches elastomeric materials in softness and flexibility, yet can be processed like otherthermoplastics. The material has good clarity and gloss, barrier properties, low-temperature toughness, stress-crack resistance, hot-melt adhesive water proof properties, and resistance to UV radiation.
